Failures Become a Success Experience

Problems become opportunities, failures become a success. To bounce back after failure is not easy. Overcoming failure and transforming it into success, a state of mind to adopt:

  • Self-confidence
  • Personal development
  • Entrepreneurship and becoming free.
How do you turn failures into success?

Have you ever known someone whose life is nothing but a succession of successes? In any case, me, not yet! Failure is part of life. Indeed, when you decide to undertake a project, there are only two outcomes you can expect: success or failure. In case of failure, we react mainly in two ways. The first is to accept failure and then overcome it in the hope of succeeding this time. The second way is to give up. This second way of seeing things is to be avoided, because it takes you away from your objective. It is important to know how to accept failure and how to overcome failure to achieve your goal. After reading this article, you will know how to overcome failure and how to turn failure into success.

Everyone knows failure in life

Overcoming failure is important. Failure should never be taken as proof of your inability to achieve your goals, but rather as proof that you are getting closer to them. Indeed, “ everyone knows failure ”. You must remember this well. As Winston Churchill said, “Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm”.

To illustrate this, take the example of a baby learning to walk. It doesn’t happen all of a sudden. He takes bowl after bowl before managing to walk. And the day he succeeds, he is proud of himself. Well ! It is the same in all the undertakings of life. It is how you react after failure that will determine whether you will be successful or not. Imagine if babies, after falling the first time, would give up. No one would walk. Yet we have all learned through failure, but once we reach adulthood, society weighs us down and blames us for failure.

You have to accept failure, it is only a step towards success.

If we proceed to a categorization of people who are poor or destitute and those who have obtained everything in their life, we realize that what the members of a category have in common is neither luck nor the origin, but the attitude towards failure. If you want to succeed, you have to accept failure and not focus on it. Indeed, when you are afraid of failure, you focus all your energy on succeeding in channeling this fear instead of making it available to find ways to succeed. Result: you end up failing. And since all the time you have had to fear failure, you give up when it arrives, telling yourself that you were right to fear it. This is absolutely false! Failure happened because you refused to accept it. You need to understand this to overcome failure.

It’s impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so carefully that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you failed by default. — JK Rowling

With each failure, you learn from life

Accepting failure prepares you for this eventuality. This allows you to find the right solution at the right time. So you learn from failure and move on. Personally, there is a quote from Nelson Mandela – which I deeply esteem – which says “ I never lose. Either I win or I learn”. Some will say “ I never fail. Either I succeed or I learn”. By failing, you discover something to avoid next time. So you learn lessons and you know that soon you don’t have to do that anymore. This is the way you have to look at things to determine how to overcome failure.

How do you overcome failures become a success and turn it into success? Tips to apply!

So far, I have only shown you the importance of overcoming failure. Now if you’re wondering how to turn failure into success, follow these tips:

1) Accept failure

Failing is normal and that’s part of being successful. Accepting failure is the first step to overcoming it and turning failure into success. All the winners have already lost. Only those who do nothing and try nothing do not fail. What matters most in the face of failure is not the failure as such but the attitude we adopt in the face of this failure. Therefore, it is imperative to know how to accept failure in order to succeed.

Forgive yourself

You are not perfect, no one is.

Everyone makes mistakes: You, me, and even Chuck Norris. We’ve done it, we’re doing it, and we’ll do it again.

But this is not unimportant, because to live is also to be wrong.

If you failed, you took a risk. You agreed to put yourself in an uncomfortable situation and try to resolve it. And it is this type of attitude that makes champions and will bring you success.

You are not your mistakes. If a friend of yours had failed, would you overwhelm them? No, you would tell him it’s okay. So do the same with yourself.

And then, before experiencing this failure, did you not experience many successes?

Life will give you many opportunities to redeem yourself, so forgive yourself and move on.

2) Cultivate optimism

In case of failure, you must always focus on your objectives and remain constructive. Once your goals are achieved, setbacks will be a thing of the past. Also, tell yourself that the more failures you experience, the greater the satisfaction. Because, experience has proven that the more difficulties men encounter in the quest for something, the greater the value of this thing is when they manage to have it.

Analyze the reasons

Failure is not a dead end, just a detour.

When you have mourned what you have lost, you can analyze the reasons that led to this setback. No one can change the past, but you can change your approach to make the future better.

Take this opportunity to learn from your mistakes and seek to understand “why” you failed.

Did you underestimate the difficulty of the task? Was your schedule bad? Did one of your colleagues get in the way of you? The budget you were allocated was too low and you did not dare to ask for more funds?

Be honest with yourself, maybe the truth will hurt you, but it will make you stronger.

And when you have identified these reasons, you can decide how to act differently in a similar situation.

In addition, it will allow you to get to know yourself, which is a great help to be successful and flourish in your life. Because knowing your strengths and weaknesses will allow you to find a job and challenges that suit you perfectly.

Not everyone is a workaholic or an expert in social relations. Sometimes, we think we enjoy and succeed in a job, but it is quite the opposite that happens.

So understand why you failed and adapt your approach.

3) After a failure, learn from it

To overcome a failure, it is absolutely necessary to learn from it. This is how you will achieve success. As Henry Ford said, “The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing”. You must therefore necessarily learn something from your failure. Ask yourself the question, why did I fail? What has changed in my forecasts? You will find where the mistake is for sure and avoid it next time. If you want to overcome failure and turn failure into success, you have to accept failure first and then learn from your mistakes.

4) Be persistent

Steve Jobs says “I am convinced that about half of what separates successful entrepreneurs from unsuccessful ones is just perseverance”. That’s exactly it. Without perseverance, you will not experience success. You can be sure failure is bound to happen sooner or later. Therefore, one must persevere and never give up. Because as Walt Disney so well said “ The difference between winning and losing is most often: not giving up”

5) Advance according to your desire and not that of others

Sometimes you fail because what you are pursuing is not really what you desire. In reality, it is very common to see people confusing their desire with that of others. For example, we can often hear phrases like “My son will be a doctor”, “My daughter will be a lawyer”, etc. And many people therefore kill themselves to satisfy the desire of their parents when it brings them no happiness. This is a situation that should be avoided, as it can create frustration that will prevent you from investing fully. In this case, overcoming failure will be impossible for you.

6) Don’t blame others

Don’t blame others for your failure, because they never do. Instead of telling yourself “ I failed because he was there”, say to yourself “ What could I have done to avoid this failure? “. It’s far too cowardly to say that it’s other people who make you unhappy. If you look around you will see that there is always something you could do. Accepting failure will make you grow and increase your self-confidence. To turn a failure into a success, it is useless to rely on others. Better to act responsibly and move on.

This article has shown and explained to you why and how failure is part of success. You have certainly encountered failures in your life. If not, you are not trying and I suggest you give it a try and take action! Regarding the failures you may have encountered, tell us in the comments how did you react and what lesson do you draw from it? Also, what are the difficulties that prevent you from overcoming a failure?*

Come back even stronger

Once you’ve accepted the negative emotions, forgiven yourself, and know why you failed, it’s time to get back on track.

You will have some apprehensions and this is completely normal.

However, you may not realize it, but this failure has made you much stronger.

Why ? Because now you know your weaknesses better and you have a whole new approach to apply. You’ve taken it to the next level.

The only thing left for you to do is to regain the attitude of a conqueror who is not afraid of anything.

In life, everything is a question of perspective, and it is you who determine the view you have of the world and of yourself. And you can choose to be positive and see the glass half full.

How? By using your internal dialogue (the little voice in your head) to condition your mind, like you would program a computer.
